Intra-uterine Insemination
The semen is prepared in a way such that the seminal fluid is removed by repeated wash with suitable culture media having adequate nourishing factors. Then the semen extract, floating up and containing the most motile sperms, is transferred into the uterus coinciding with the timing of ovulation. The following are the indication for IUI:

• Oligospermia
• Asthenozoospermia
• Cervical Factors
• Male Sexual dysfunction
• Therapeutic Insemination Donor.

Most authorities define infertility as the inability to conceive after one year of unprotected intercourse. Though infertility doesn't claim an individual life, it inflicts devastating emotional trauma on the couple for being unable to achieve parenthood.
